Absurdity.

Absurdity pervades in air,

aberration in the city of

barbarians,

bizarre among uncultured,

cad who clads honorable,

imp that call the shots,

lilliputians have stolen

the show

intellectuals now spactators

at coliseum,

ignoble turns noble.

Indecorous-new fad in town-

brazenness highway to

heroism,

corruption travels freely

in neighborhood,

looting and stealing

take new form;

no policeman dare arrest

freebooter,

no judge dare tame

buccaneer.

Impunity gust envelopes

self-style leaders,

disobedient spirit trails

their subject,

deception unlimited,

propaganda plc, and

Goebbelists hold sway.

Bedlam heralds each

day,

pandemonium becomes

way of life,

commotion overtakes

orderliness,

connivance from background,

mayhem chases peace out.

Bravery suppressed by gun,

courageous branded trouble

makers,

give me my rights' seekers

labelled touts,

chaos-anarchy-upheaval,

bridges they built,

furor-hubbub-rumpus

highway constructed.

Foofaraw, clatter, rattle-

fruits from lawless tress,

planted within house’s

four corners.

Evil walks on daylight,

darkness runs through

day,

light becomes enemy,

honesty has no

residency in their courtyard,

truth continuously subverted,

gold, oil, diamond,

their god;

dollar, pound, euro-"doporo"

mammon they worship

   face books,
   though may look modern
   its civilization will be archaic.
   

   The world that read books
   won't be a victim of fortuitous
   or accidental leaders,
   but society that face books
   will always be deceived
   by morally bankrupt and
   white-washed born-again
   uppity.
   Bottom to top change
   belongs to a
   well-informed society,
   spontaneous change
   without defined goals
   characterize
   face-a-book society.
   Eternal culture of improved
   knowledge through search
   domicile with urbane and
   cosmopolitan,
   legacy of goodness trail
   intellectual light bearer.
   Light never go out
   in any informed society,
   pathway gets brighter,
   bigger,and better;
   darkness dissipates
   as quickly as possible,
   sophistication resides within
   courtyard of advanced culture,
   elegance and charm
   encapsulate it.
   Read a book or
   Face a book?
   Challenges are many,
   benefits are great.
   Yes-too much book-
   may be enervating,
   absence of book
   could be worse.

Handcuffs

domiciles in the house

of chains,

resides in the

house of torture,

oppressive tool

in the hands of jailer,

tool to execution pole

for hangman’s noose.

wrists are immediate foes,

ankles secondary foes,

thumbs-it incarcerates-

iron whip to mortal,

inconsequential

bracelets on wrists,

bangles of shame,

piffling anklets of

mortification.

 

makes wearer cry

of pain,

consignor of injury,

vendor for

cheiralgia paraesthetica

irritation to body

twinge gift to soul,

pang and uneasiness

define existence.

discomposure not far

from it,

eternal scar-associated

attribute-

disquietude-a hallmark-

perturbation-daily

treat it offers-

consternation a sibling,

ridicule a synonym.

bondage cuffs-older brother-

sexual tool of torment,

victim-cuff turns

sex object of gratification-

pleasure-culprit derives

from patsy’s agony-

throes he inflicts on

milquetoast.

despair and desolation

in courtyard of

sadomasochism;

sorrow and grief-

a lagniappe-

for wild orgy victim,

laughter and euphoric

excitement

from perpetrator.

manacle-set my hands

free-

shackle unchain my legs,

thumbcuff freedom to my

thumbs,

I demand,

halter and belly chain-

unleash me,

unmoor me,

manumit me,

uncage me.

 

freedom and liberty

never restrict,

movement do not

control,

meaningful life

deprive me NO MORE;

handcuffs go,

please, go.
