In
The House of Pharaoh and
Nebuchadnezzar.
They have become gods
in the land of mortals,
subjects-they turned to
irrational worshippers;
their homes have
indirectly
become temples and shrines
for man-created veneration,
family members-they made
altar boys and usher girls.
Through their handiwork
cities of evil they keep
building,
Sodom and Gomorrah
they have made out of
land they rule upon;
inconceivable evils and
mind-bogging sins-
they keep committing
in the former land of
wonders.
Hunger, misery, and
poverty,
they give as inheritance,
bloodshed and butchery
they derive joy,
massacre and carnage
they glorify to high
heaven.
Darkness-they prefer to
light,
lies instead of truth-
they adopt as
Constitution;
pride and haughtiness-
leaders of the land wear
as clothe.
Every day, God of Heavens
they keep opposing,
daily, work of nature they
try to change;
principles, laws, and
values
before their progenitors,
they had re-written.
Daily, air of trouble
they breathe upon their
subjects,
constantly, discomforting
sun with sweltering heat
they make citizens
undergo.
Slavery and force labor
they had placed upon their
brothers and sisters,
decent wages-they denied
workers-while they live
in opulence;
better conditions
of life-they make look
mirage-
to those they govern.
Necessities of life-
they denied people,
moving corpses-they have
created out of living
souls,
but their households
they feed with delicacies
of
rich sumptuous meals
belonging to Kings.
Life after retirement
they keep denying people,
those who gave their lives
for them to live,
simple epitaph they do
not have,
individuals without
graves-
common cenotaph
they had forgotten
to erect in their memorial.
Good medical care-
they have denied their
own,
common diseases eradicated
elsewhere,
ferociously unleashing
attack
on their people;
but Asclepius-Greco-Roman
god of medicine-
they keep at home for
themselves and household.
Anytime-they are sick-
they jet out to western
world
to seek cure for common
cold,
cough, ear infection,
stress,
radiculopathy;
nation’s health sector
they make moribund.
Would these leaders
ever realize that they
are mortal?
Will these leaders ever
learn from those before
them?
Will these leaders ever be
held accountable someday?
If strong will is an
excuse
for them to committing evil,
perhaps, stories of
ancient
leaders will teach them
lesson-
someday-
if ever they have ears to
hear.
Will they LEARN?
Time shall TELL.
