Sometimes!
Sometimes I feel
world is sinking
under my feet,
sometimes I feel
sun beats more than
usual and moon isn’t
bright enough.
Sometimes I feel the
stars aren’t twinkling
enough,
ocean waves very
unkind to coastal cities,
sometimes I feel
life isn’t fair to humans.
Sometimes I feel man
is used and dumped
by rich and powerful,
sometimes I feel
how friends and blood
betray one another,
sometimes I feel
how colleagues take
advantage of fellow for
immediate benefit.
Sometimes I feel human
society is nothing,
but evil,
sometimes I feel
commerce thrives
only on greed,
religion on bigotry,
government on lies and
deception.
Sometimes I feel
humans on pathway of
self-destruction,
sometimes I see no future,
as civilization continues
to
downhill,
sometimes I feel
science and
technology will help,
but side effect more than
benefit.
Sometimes I feel
humankind
oldest institution-family-
is dead,
sometimes I feel
tomorrow is a mirage.
Sometimes,
not every time,
not always,
but seldom,
I ask-what does tomorrow
hold for humanity?
