Power Mongers!

Beauty of power

they do not know,
glory that resides
in power they want;
duties of power,
they barely understood,
authority and command
with power prime trophy
for contest.

Challenges of power,
they hardly know,
power politics-they love-
levelheaded politics
term detested,
but arrogance and egotism-
define their politics.

Voice of wisdom and
politics of reason,
too complex for them
to understand
catachresis name of their
politics.

One nation under God
daily sermon,
divisive politics to hold power,
chess they play;

unity in diversity-their anthem-
ethnic politics-they play.

Fairness-they love in print-
bias and favoritism-
only language they understand,
equality-talking theme-
disparity and inequality-
guiding philosophy.

In their courtyard-only their own-
knows freedom,
workers in courtyard remain
in chain,
religion-opium to sedate
followers-
tenets and credos-hired
to hypnotize.
