Home Is Not FAR!

Home Not Far!

Farm may be far off,

stream may be a

long walk,

but home is never far,

workshop and office

may be a long distance

to walk or to drive,

regardless

home is not far.

Prayer grounds and temples

may be days’ journey,

schools and malls

located in city’s

extremities,

still home is not faraway.

 

Community center,

city hall, and convention

center may be on uphill,

nonetheless

home is not far-flung.

Neighbor’s abode

may be a long walk,

colleague and friend

may live far off,

nevertheless

home is not yonder.

Because home is

a safe haven,

a sanctuary

where heart  finds

protection,

where heart is,

abode for affection,

family farmland.

Home is everything,

roof may leak,

fixtures may be

inadequate,

no lawn,

no garage,

no king-size or queen-size

bed,

no light, no faucet

running water,

no conveniences,

no home theater,

no this,

no that.

Still home is home,

oasis of peace,

home resides in heart,

you live your life in it,

you give your life to it,

home will

NEVER BE FAR,

because you’re

both

Inseparable.
