Blackness!

Yes! I'm black in color,
not in mind as
supposed,
hair may be black,
not in reason.

Define me not by
eye color,
identify me not by
skin color,
stereotype me not by
old fantasies,
but judge me by conduct.

See my blackness as BEAUTY,
see my skin color as my GLORY,
give no blanket criticism,
place no individual fault
upon others.

I'm black-Yes-I know,
just a color,
the real ME is
the content of my
Character.

I'm great,
I'm just a human
like every living SOUL.
