A Lovebird Song

I will fly to wherever

you are,

I will locate you,

my wings shall carry me

to your abode on hill,

tree or beyond the

sea.

Upon my beak-

greetings of

love-from far land

I bring to you,

in my mouth lays food

of life to feed you,

between my legs are

twigs to build you

a nest and permanent  

a home.

 

Under my wings-

you will find protection

during stormy weather,

my pinions shall give

you a cover,

in winter-

warm feeling a promise

from me.

My love-I promise you

alone-

my heart shall be

with you forever.
