began

conversion of
pagan Rome
to Constantine
Christianity.
Fourth century
witnessed
the fall of
Western
Roman Empire.
Fifth
century kicked off
with the fall of
Eastern Roman
Empire in
Constantinople.
Sixth century
heralded
a new
religion,
Islam;
In the
seventh century,
Islamic teaching
spread
worldwide.
By
8th century,
revival of
Holy Roman
Empire began;
and in
the
9th century,
Europe
came under
different,
but
blood-related
ruling Houses.
In
10th century,
wars of attrition
ensued
between
Europe and
Islamic world
on superiority
of Judeo-Christian
and Islam.
Then came
11th century,
with the
decline of
Eastern Roman
Empire.
And
in 12th century,
a
new empire
arose;
the
Ottoman
Empire,
which
lasted
for
another
four centuries.
Alliances upon
alliances in
the
13th century,
among
the ruling
houses
created
power
dynamics in
Europe;
power through
marriages,
which made
Europe
ruled the
world
for another
five centuries.
Fourteenth century-
the age of exploration-
transoceanic era,
when European ships
traveled around the
earth.
Ships soon
came with wealth
and fortune
form many
distant lands;
the beginning of
modern capitalism.
As discovery kicked
off in Europe, so was
a new movement
in
the 15th century;
Reformation
propagated by
new European
intelligentsia,
which
set to check
and to correct,
years of errors,
abuses, and
discrepancies
by
Roman Catholic
Church.
Welcome
to
the 16th century
Industrial Revolution
in
Europe and
America;
era marking
a transition from
hand production
to mass
production by
machines.
A new power
is rising-
political
earthquake
in 17th North
American territories
changed the world
forever.
Declaration
of
Independence,
followed by wars
between
North America
colonists and imperial
British recreated
world of mankind;
America-the new power-
in the making.
Will slavery
be ever abolished?
Yes,
18th century
became
END SLAVERY
CENTURY,
because
it was immoral;
moves against
slavery and other
heinous
crimes against
began in 18th
century.

era.

discovery, to
Aspirin-the miracle
drug, to nitrous
oxide-as pain killer-
forerunner
to modern

antiseptic theory,
to cholera
vaccine; to
X-Rays-
a revolution

to germ theory-
as the main cause
of many diseases,
to abnormal
blood (Leukemia)
discovery in 1845,

mixed blessings;
