Awesome Cloud

Awesome Cloud

Blanket that covers

the firmament,

condensed water in

our atmosphere,

floating ocean in the air,

future precipitation

that nourishes the earth.


In tons cloud gathers and

moves,

in clouds are decillion,

doudecillion, and

octodecillion droplets

that return to earth as

rainfall.

Storehouse of heaven

for powerful phenomena,

from cloud comes snow,

from you comes hailstorm,

from cloud comes

thunderstorm and lightning.


In you hailstone reside,

from you comes ice pellet,

in your belly tornado

resides,

cloud-unwoven cloths

that covers the sky,

unequal warehouse of

heaven that shares

abode with wind,

stars, galaxies, planets,

asteroids, satellites, and

interplanetary objects.

Cloud-from you comes

hard rime-white ice-

frozen-water-ice,

from you is-graupel-

soft hail or snow pellet,

in your bosom lays supercell,

power behind thunderstorm,

maker of hails and tornadoes;

cloud-lightning from you-

continues to strike mankind

with awe and fear,

in you are ice crystals,

master engineer behind

beautiful snowflakes.


Your ice crystals are many,

shapes are disparate and

diverse,

columns in you are exquisite,

needles are picturesque,

plates are quaint and

dendrites are strikingly

fascinating.



From cloud

beautiful sky is understood

from you water cycle begins and

with you its journey ends;

from cloud comes

blessing to our earthly home,

from cloud comes floating ocean,

your presence and altitude,

determine earth temperatures

cloud-a thermostat-

which regulates heat and cold

upon the earth,

cloud-a necessity for cosmos’

survival,

cloud-indispensable for humans-

cloud-critical for non-living things.

Thank you cloud

for everyday solar-radiation

balancing,

thank you cloud

for precipitations, and

thank you cloud for

redistributing extra

equator heat to the poles.
