CABAL: 350 Years Ago!

CABAL:
350 Years Ago!

First letters of their
last names created
the acronym-CABAL,
Clifford, Arlington,
Buckingham, Ashley, and
Lauderdale;
quintet high
councilors of
King Charles 11,
signatories to
Secret Dover Treaty.

Between Britain and France,
Secret Dover Treaty existed,
against common enemy-
Netherlands;
life by their signatures
cabal breathed into treaty.

In shadow of darkness,
they conducted business,
away from public view and
knowledge they ruled;
intense secrecy surrounded
their dealings in and outside
government.

Enemies-they brought down-
by intrigue, subterfuge, and
conspiracy,
obstructions-in-their-ways
they pulled with mortal force,
stumbling block to vested
interest,
they fought with
superior power.

CABAL In Modern Times:

Intrigues, conspiracy, and
secrecy-yesterday’s tools-
modern CABALs elevate
to statecraft.

Cabalism-philosophy and
school of thought-
modern politicians
take lessons from,
yesterday’s invention,
today’s working principle
for politicians as guide.

Cabalism-a pact between-
past and present,
practice that shapes
times and eras,
dictating mankind’s
future;
cabal-yesterday’s evil-
today’s curse.

Anywhere-they have root-
wicked plan they foist
on their people,
from sunrise to sunset,
evil agenda-they pursue.

On same spot-they keep
their own,
in chains, fetters, and
handcuffs-
every soul is placed.

Goodness of life-
they deny their own,
freedom and liberty-
they take away from
their people,
basic necessity of life-
they deprive their people,
knowledge-they take away,
today-they ruin-
tomorrow-they destroy.

Fear and ignorance-
trees they grow, water,
and nurture;
hate-seed-they plant,
violence, distrust, and
doubt-
fruits-they harvest from
their enterprises.

Every time-from their
inner chamber-
glass clicking sound,
you hear atop their
laughter,
anytime they defeat
citizens;
unending merriment-
they hold for consorts,
mistresses, children, cronies,
friends in their courtyards year
round.

When society cries,
they are happy,
when society weeps,
they laugh,
when society is pained,
they exult.

CABAL! CABAL! CABAL!
Today may be your day,
Tomorrow for oppressed.
