I desire,

cockroach-barred office-

I want,

Rat-free office,

may you provide,

document-friendly animals,

let my office possess.

From home-I shall work,

from inner room-orders

will come forth,

from my dining-I will

instruct you what to do-

from tennis court,

command shall emanate,

decree from pool side,

edict from hallway,  

from my lawn signal to

war commanders and

generals.

Until my office is

ready,

expect a little from me,

files are in custody of

rodents,

until office is ready,

never rush me,

state’s instruments of

authority are held by roaches.

Until office is ready,

no official duties,

no state banquet,

no state hosting-function,

halls, reception and

ante rooms fully occupied;

until office is ready,

I will only appear in balcony

for sighting.

Until office is ready,

hold rodents, cockroaches,

responsible for delays,

hold bugs, spiders, cobwebs

accountable for snail speed.

Blame invading bugs

for cunctation on budget

preparation,

condemn enemy rodents

for dawdling on Boko Haram,

denounce visiting spiders

for demurral on restructure

template.

Decry thieving rats

for downtime on education

crisis,

revile cobweb spiders

stonewalling electricity crisis,

vilify ants, mites, and ticks

on moratorium for bag production

to bag rice for sale.

Until office is ready,

Expect more DELAYS, and

Hope for LESS.
