21st Century Killer Machine.
It sounds like concert,
but not a musical show,
rather, a source of
affliction;
it sounds like Kansas,
but not a city populated
with
good people;
it sounds like conqueror,
yes, in anger it conquers
victims,
in horror it leaves preys-
after nicking them with
hypodermic needle of
death.
Cancer hits anywhere it
desires,
if it strikes brain,
it leaves brain defeated
with malignant tumor;
should it visit eyes,
it causes pigmented color
that takes sight away.
Separated by the cleavage-
for millennial-breasts-most
prized
biological organ have
become
Cancer’s victims,
but a terrible tenant
cancer has become to-
the breasts-the sanctuary
that
provides and sustains
storge-
familial love between
a child and mother;
moreover, the temple that
houses
chemistry operating between
lovers.
In pelvis-the body trunk
and platform-
Cancer destroys without
pity,
leaving behind irreversible
damage;
along the airways,
Cancer causes many respiratory
diseases of which
a few treatable,
most presents terminal
illness as gift.
In ovary,
it lays destructive
imitation eggs,
eggs that carry no
biological and
social values;
fake eggs that prevent
fruit of belly.
Testicles-it plucks away from
from their owners-
just as it kills the steam
in man,
turning a him to a statue;
worse still-makes man
half-dead-and-half-alive.
The bones it makes weak,
the blood it contaminates,
body’s milling-machine-liver,
it destroys;
the kidneys it renders
useless.
Hair-the crown of glory-
it gradually pull out,
the bone marrow it poison.
Cancer! Cancer!! Cancer!!!
The evil from you is much,
the pain from you is
unbearable,
the cost you impose on
visit-
is burdensome.
You have ruled over
humankind for centuries as
a Terror,
now mankind is tired of
your demonic roar;
your palliatives-by means
of
radiation and chemotherapy
are nothing,
but more evil.
Drugs and medical
procedures
to fight you-
further enhance your
virility,
as they create wealth for
Pharmaceutical Industrial
Complex.
Can man fight this
monster?
