Lion: The King of the Jungle
Stately, it walks in the
jungle
like a king it acts in the
pride,
beaut, power, and strength
are
its qualities;
yellow-brown-coats-
its unmistaken identity.
Before mane,
all shall bow to the king,
within its territory animals
maintain fearful distance,
whenever it roars-
the wild becomes
agitated and still.
The king-identify by
deafening roar-
stronger than train
siren,
powerful than ship’s
honk at dock.
A very social animal with
superior order of
hierarchy,
a nocturnal animal-sleeps
during the day-
hunts at night.
A territorial animal
that sets boundaries by
scent marking,
king that establishes
authority within domain
by its roars.
Lion-a symbol of power and
Kingship-
a synonym for beauty and
adulation;
a representation of
honor and glory.
Who dare look at
your face shall tastes
your raw power;
whoever challenges your
authority in the pride-
between your canines
its body hangs.
Anyone that questions
your authority,
judge your action, or
condemns your activity
within your territory,
by your eighteen strong
razor-sharp claws-
it undergoes eternal
surgery.
Is your kingship
a man-made or
by self-imposition?
Certainly, not-
but divinely ordained.
Oh! The king,
as you set out from your
cave and rock hole today-
let everyone proclaim:
long live-
The King of the Jungle.
A lion in majestic appearance.
